The Nova Paint Club has elected the Canadian paint manufacturer, Cloverdale Paint Inc. to membership.

The Nova Paint Club is an international organization founded in 1983 for the purpose of providing a framework, within which leading, global independent paint companies can benefit from exchanges of technical information, technology, and the sharing of expertise in all areas of their fields of operation.

Cloverdale Paint Inc. was founded in 1933 and is Canada's largest privately owned paint manufacturer. The company operates 65 company owned distribution outlets, 4 Canadian manufacturing facilities, and has over 100 independent dealers and over 600 employees.

Cloverdale Paint was elected at Nova's conference and Board of Directors meeting held in the UK on October 31st, 2002.

Nova president, Dr. Rainer Votteler said; " It is important for Nova to have a member representing Canada. Cloverdale Paint is a very sound company with an excellent reputation in both the Decorative and Industrial paint sectors."

Al Mordy, president of Cloverdale Paint Inc. replied; " We are delighted at being elected and look forward to playing our full part in the future development of this well known and prestigious organization."

The conference was attended by Board members and the organizations technical steering committee including representatives from Nova's 15 international paint manufacturing members. A President's Award dinner recognized individuals for outstanding contributions to the success of the Nova Paint Club. Recipients were Alfredo Achar and Peter Surgey ( past presidents ), Dr. Rainer Votteler ( president ), Wolfram Votteler, Kenny Kay, and Peter Lovell.

The next Board meeting is scheduled for May 2003' in Stuttgart Germany where the organization will be celebrating it's 20th anniversary.
